The Manor House Project - update March 2008

The derelict East Wing has been demolished and asbestos removal and underpinning are in progress.

The Manor House and the Library will be closed for restoration from 8 Decmber 2007 and will reopen at the end of 2008.

In the meantime, continuity of the Library service will be from the Mobile Libary which will be parked in the front drive at the North side of the Manor House.

The Manor House is attributed to architect Richard Jupp who also designed the entrance and wings at Guy's Hospital, and Severndroog Castle in Oxleas Wood

 

Lee Manor conservation area

Lee Manor conservation area has been reviewed by consultants, The Conservation Studio. Based on this work, the Council is proposing a number of proposals to improve the management of the conservation area. All residents in the conservation area have been sent a consultation leaflet, although you can also participate if you do not live in the area, but are affected by the proposals.
