Leegate should be the heart and soul of the Lee Green area; yet more and more shop sites have become empty with nothing seemingly being done to stop the decline. That’s why Lee Green Lives was formed.

Lee Green Lives Management Committee took over running the Community Centre (Unit 3 Leegate - opposite Iceland) on 17 December from MakeBelieve Arts. • St Modwen has extended the lease from June 2011 for a further 12 months
• A "partners" event was held on 28 February. Participants included local groups, shopkeepers, residents groups, schools and, churches, as well as the Council to discuss shaping a way forward for Leegate

Mondays
Over 50's Coffee/Tea & Chat Sessions: Currently 10.30-12 noon, weekly but moving to Mondays 1.30 - 3pm from 23 May 2011
Funky Fibres Craft Group: 6.00 - 8pm, weekly drop in - all things to do with yarn and other crafts

Tuesdays
Tai Chi: 1.30 - 2.30, weekly
Youth Club: 6.15 - 8.15pm, weekly for young people aged 13-19 years

Wednesdays
Lee Green Knitters: 2 - 4pm weekly for all ages a chance to learn to knit & crochet with others

Thursdays
Yoga: 10-11am
Mucky Pups: 1 - 2.30pm - under 5's group, weekly
Time to Talk: 6 - 7.30pm For people feeling low or depressed needing supported space to talk with others

Fridays
South London Teen+ Home-Education Group: 12-3pm, monthly, for parents/carers & their young people,12 years +, electively educated otherwise than at school.

Saturdays
Arabic Classes: 10am - 1pm

Sundays
Indian Dance Classes: 10 - 1pm

Lee Green Community Centre runs loads of activities for young and old alike. Come along and enjoy daily fun activities delivered locally.

On Youth provision – The Lee Green Youth project runs free activities for young people aged 12 - 19years from the Community Centre. The club is open for activities ranging from pool, table tennis and many more games every Tuesday from 6.15 - 8.15pm. Free Multi-Sport session takes place at Colfe’s School every Friday from 6 - 8.30pm.
